Dubai, May 22: Over the past past ten years the bonuses distributed to Emirati owners of Dubai taxi plates under the orders of the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Maktoum has exceeded Dh 1.5 billion, the Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said.
Director general and chairman of the board of executive directors of RTA, Mattar Mohammed Al Tayer said that the bonus dispersed by His Highness reflects his genuine keen towards the welfare of his community and bring prosperity.
On the occasion of Eid Al Fitr, Al Tayer expressed his gratitude to the ruler for distributing the bonuses to the number plate owners which is operated by the Dubai Taxi Corporation.
Nearly 3,052 taxi plate owners would benefit from the generous gesture.
