Mangaluru: Air India flight develops technical snag - passengers face problems

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Apr 24: Air India 680 flight that was to leave for Mumbai at 12.40 pm on Monday April 23 got cancelled as the aircraft did not begin its journey due to a technical snag.

The aircraft, on its arrival from Mumbai, was diagnosed with technical problems. Although the technical staff here tried to address the issue, they could not do so. Therefore, alternative arrangements to fly the passengers to Mumbai by Jet Airways flight were made. But only 82 persons got the opportunity to fly out of 122 Air India passengers and therefore 40 were stranded.

Airport sources said that the passengers who could not undertake the journey were provided hotel accommodation and that they would be taken to Mumbai on Tuesday April 24.
