Bengaluru, Aug 4: Karnataka on Thursday, Aug 4, reported 1992 new coronavirus cases.
As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stands at 11,067. Bengaluru urban's single-day tally at 1342.
Three deaths were reported due to coronavirus in the state on Thursday. The death toll in the state has risen to 40,111.
The state recorded 2107 discharges from hospitals on Thursday, taking the total discharges to 39,63,294.
So far, Karnataka has seen 40,14,514 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The positivity rate for the day stands at 6.46%. As many as 11,65,72,063 people have received vaccination so far.
