Beltangady, Jun 20: The mortal remains of a man in decomposed state were found in a well of Ujire near here.

The body was floating in the well of Nagaraja compound of Ujire. The owner of the land lives in Mysuru. He had come a week ago to the property and noticed some head like thing in the well. He thought it must be the coconut floating.

The owner visited his house on Sunday June 19 again and noticed a foul smell emanating from the surroundings of his house. When he checked the well, he found the decomposed body of a man. The body was brought up with the help of locals.

Beltangady police visited the spot and are investigating further.
