Dubai, Sep 27: Dubai’s Billawa Balaga added one more feather to their cap when they successfully organized Dandiya Masti 2009 at the air conditioned Al Nasr Leisureland Ice Rink which was enjoyed thoroughly by everyone present.  The huge venue had a crowd of more than 1000 dandiya lovers who danced non stop to the pulsating beats of ‘Dubai Rockers Band’ who played high class dandiya music.  Added to this, famous DJ Salim  ensured that the floor was jam packed with his own style of dandiya hits.  The women especially were seen in their brightest colours and there were many who went home with prizes generously given by Billawa Balaga for being the best dancer, best dress and the like.

One could see the vibrance of color and fun as the men and women hit the dandiya sticks with perfect rhythm much to the joy of the onlookers. The gathering had a spectacular as well as festive spread of Indians from almost every state. The dandiya  hit songs coming from singers Olivia, Neelam, Diana, Rajiv and others truly ensured the quality of the music group.  Bottomline Advertising were the Main Sponsors along with Mr. Zafarullah Khan of Zain Group of Hotel.  Bangalore’s Ronald Colaco was the Associate Sponsor.

All in all, it was a great team effort by all members of the Billawa Balaga of Dubai who with their cooperative efforts ensured the success of the show.  However, one must mention the dynamic duo of Suchit Kumar and Daya Kirodian who spearheaded and spared no efforts to put everything in place for the show apart from all other members including the Mahila Vibhaga of Billawa Balaga.  Dubai’s Sound Line Events managed the event in their own special and professional manner.

Daijiworld were the publicity partners along with Radio Spice 105.4. Proceeds from the show will be used for various charities according to the Billawa Balaga.  In the past too, Billawa Balaga has been associated with worthy social causes. Billawa Balaga created history by becoming one of the few organizations who  ventured  at a mammoth venue like the Al Nasr Leisureland Ice Rink and managed such a sizable crowd with great success.

UAE is a second home for most of Indian expatriates. Even some young Indian children really dont know about Indian culture, festivals, their background, its importance. These celebrations would definitely re ignite the love for our culture and I feel all Indian festivals must be celebrated and our young children must be linked to our culture or else it would be lost and forgotten.

First of all you dont know the meaning of dandiya, or you have just comented to criticise, dont forget this is a nvaratri festival and dont bring pub in between. Neither you are one of the jealous team just hired for criticising the event.
