Mumbai, Aug 20:
Big Boss participant Jade had to leave the house after reports suggested that she could be suffering from cancer

Big Brother star Jade Goody, who was in India to participate in India’s version of the British reality series Bigg Boss Season Two, has flown back to London just after two days in the house.

In an unfortunate turn of events, it was discovered on Monday that Jade could be suffering from cervical cancer. Jade had undergone some tests in UK before coming to India. The reports suggesting the ailment were out on Monday.

In an official statement Rajesh Kamat, the CEO of the channel (Sony) said, “It is indeed an unfortunate development. We extend our full support to Jade in these testing times. Jade is a strong-willed woman who has emerged victorious from many a battle. We sincerely hope that she wins this time as well.”

Shilpa Shetty, who had shared space with Jade earlier in Big Brother in UK and who is now the host of the Bigg Boss Season 2, says she cannot believe that things could take such a turn. “My prayers are with Jade and her family in this hour when they face one of the biggest tests of their lives. I hope she goes back with happy memories of this country.”

During the first two days in the house, Jade was seen struggling to understand Hindi as all the proceedings there take place in the national language. Fellow inmate Payal Rohatgi was assigned the task of teaching her Hindi.

Jade, 27, was at the centre of a racism row on Big Brother, when co-participant Shilpa (also the winner) had alleged that she had been racially abused by Goody and the other housemates.
