Mangaluru, Jul 29: As part of Kaushala Dina – the Skill Development & Employability Initiative, grade 8 students participated in an educational industry exposure visit to Daijiworld Television, where they gained first-hand experience of media and broadcasting operations.
During the visit, the students explored the functioning of a professional television broadcasting network and observed various aspects of newsroom operations. They were introduced to news reporting, anchoring, studio production, camera handling, video editing and sound recording, providing them with practical insights into the media industry.






The students also interacted with media professionals, who shared their experiences and highlighted the importance of workplace ethics, effective communication, teamwork, creativity, leadership and the diverse career opportunities available in the field of journalism and broadcasting.
The industry exposure programme successfully bridged classroom learning with real-world experiences, equipping students with practical knowledge, enhanced confidence and a better understanding of future career pathways. The initiative was organised in line with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasises skill development, experiential learning and career readiness.
