Mumbai, Apr 26: The prestigious 'Jamnalal Bajaj Uchit Vyavahar Puraskar - 2007' was presented to famous industrialist and chairman of Unitop Chemicals Pvt Ltd, Barkur Dharmaraj Shetty here on Friday April 25. 

The function, organized by Council for Fair Business Practices (CFBP) was held at the Indian Merchants Chamber (IMC) in Valchand Hirachand hall, here. The function was graced by a distinguished gathering comprising former MLC Suresh P Prabhu as chief guest, CFBP president Dinesh Parekh, vice-president Ramesh Dhir, honorary secretary Subhash Chandar Gogiya, immediate past president V B Haribhakthi and former president V S Palekar. 

B D Shetty, the recipient of this prestigious award is founder and working president of Indian Bunts Chamber of Commerce and Industries (IBCCI) and an avid social worker. He is an alumni of Suratkal's National Institute of Technolgy-Karnataka, from where he completed his bachelors degree in engineering. Currently, B D Shetty's business turn-over  is over Rs 500 million. 

Moreover, he is actively involved in Bombay industries association, Indian merchant chambers association, Indian Institute of Material Managers, Indian chemical engineers association, manufacturers association, Pathalganga chemical industries association and Indo-American Society and Consumers Guidance Society.
