Mother India Ex-Students Foundation holds 4th AGM, Surendra Poojary re-elected president

Mumbai, Oct 4: The 4th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Mother India Ex-Students Foundation was held on Sunday, September 27, at the LIC Canteen on P M Road in Fort, under the presidency of Surendra A Poojary.

General secretary Harish G Maindan welcomed the gathering and presented the annual report. Joint secretary Ashok Suvarna read the minutes of the 3rd AGM, which were proposed by Karunakar Kaup and seconded by R H Shettigar. Treasurer T V Poojary presented the financial statements. The accounts were proposed by Dinesh Hemmadi, seconded by Babu D Shetty, and subsequently approved by the members. Krishna Nayak Company was appointed as the auditor for the upcoming year.

The new administrative committee for the next two-year term was formed during the meeting. Surendra A Poojary was re-elected as the president.

The other newly elected office-bearers include:

Vice-presidents: Santosh Kumar S Shetty, Yashwant N Poojary, Harish G Maindan, and T V Poojary

General secretary: Jayaram M Poojary, Vasai

Treasurer: Mandar N Hegde

Joint secretaries: Ashok S Suvarna and Harish S Poojary

Joint treasurer: Hemanth P Poojary

The committee members elected are Umesh S Shetty, Sadananda S Shetty, Manjunath K Poojary, Bhaskar K Jathan, Dinesh Mogaveera, Srikanth B Poojary, Karunakar K Kaup, Satish Belchada, Sachidananda G Naik, Shivananda Bangera, Babu D Shetty, and R H Shettigar.

In his presidential address, Surendra Poojary urged the members to remain united and committed to the foundation's principles of philanthropy and social service while organizing future programmes.

Joint secretary Jayaram K Poojary (Rasayani) was present on the dais. Karnataka Sangha general secretary Omdas Kannangar, who attended the event, provided updates on the construction progress of the Karnataka Sangha complex. He submitted a memorandum to the president, appealing to the foundation to join hands and cooperate in the construction of the building, which is highly essential for Kannadigas in the region.

Ashok Suvarna proposed the vote of thanks.
