Udupi, Mar 1: Science should be made interesting rather than easy to learn, said vice-chancellor of Mangalore University K M Kaveriappa here on Thursday February 28.

Speaking at the National Science Day celebrations organised by Manipal University, he said that teaching of science in schools should be in the form of practical tests, demonstrations using models and through field work.

He also said that the syllabus should be according to the age and the class of children and teachers should be well-trained in their subjects.

Director of Manipal Life Sciences Centre (MLSC) K Sathyamoorthy welcomed the gathering.
