Dubai Harmony presents Christmas Belles

by Patricia Saldanha - Dubai

Dubai, Dec 2: Christmas Belles will be singing as Dubai Harmony present their annual Christmas show. This non-profit all female group sings unaccompanied four-part Barbershop Harmony with 45 ladies from 15 nationalities making sweet music. United by a love of singing, the group has been in existence since 1993. Led by their musical director Gayle Powell, the group sings with dance routines that really compliment the songs they perform.  The quartets within the group lend a more intimate sound to the Christmas programme that includes a variety of seasonal songs for young and old.

From the magical ‘Let it Snow’, ‘Winter Wonderland’, ‘Christmas Chopsticks’ and ‘Need a Little Christmas’ to the more traditional ‘Donna Nobis’, ‘White Christmas’, ‘Carol of the Bells’, and the popular favourites ‘Ode to Joy’ and ‘Jingle Bell Jazz’ there is something to bring festive joy to everyone at this special time of year.

Catch the ladies of Dubai Harmony singing in their annual Christmas show - 'Christmas Belles' at Christ Church, Jebel Ali on Saturday 9 December 2006. Doors open at 7pm and the performance starts at 7.30pm. If you haven't seen Dubai Harmony before, this is your opportunity to see them perform one of their best Christmas repertoires.
