Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Nov 6: The child of a man who attempted suicide along with his young daughter by jumping into the sea and later trying to hang himself has been handed over to her grandfather, police said.

The man had reportedly attempted suicide with his daughter following a dispute with his wife. Police acted swiftly and managed to rescue both of them in time.

Efforts were made to reconcile the differences between the husband and wife, but the wife refused to reconcile and insisted on proceeding with a divorce. Police have advised the couple to resolve the matter legally through the court.

The child’s mother also consented to her daughter being placed in the care of her paternal grandfather, and accordingly, the child has been handed over to him, officials added.

All because of husband & wife fight, the war is between two and the child had to bear the brunt. In my opinion the couple needs counselling (social organization , couples parents. Police have advised the couple to resolve the matter legally through the court, but the wife refused to reconcile and insisted on proceeding with a divorce. Is that only solution ? (Agree/disagree )
