Dubai, Dec 2: Residents of Dubai, Sharjah and other emirates of UAE have experienced a cool weather on National Day December 2, 2006.

Although it was a national holiday, traffic was as usual and several places witnessed traffic jam due to rain.

Many vehicles which broke down had to be assisted by others to be taken off the roads in and around Sharjah. The police force too was busy handling and attending accident cases.

Many had planned to celebrate national day holiday in parks and beaches, but all their plains vent in vain due to the change in weather.

Sharjah was heavily affected due to the rain. The temperature dropped to 14 degrees in Dubai.

The cold weather is due to a gusty storm heading to UAE from Kuwait, said sources from the Weather Department.
