Mangalore Nov, 5: All India Raitha Jatha under the slogan “this is not suicide but united struggle, save agriculture and save the nation” will enter the city on Tuesday Nov 7.

Speaking to the press on the same Yashwanth Maroli district president said that the farmers from all over the nation are taking part in the rally under the leadership of N Ramachandran Pillai, State CPIM politbureau member and India Raitha Sanga president and J C Bayya Reddy Karnataka state secretary of regional farmer association.

The jatha will be welcomed at Talapady on Nov 7. A public meet will be held at the DC’s office and later at Beltangady.

In the same way 4 rallies will reach Delhi on Nov 20 and a total of 10 lac people are expected to participate in the rally, he added.

The jatha is being organized to pressurize the state and union government to provide loans at 4 per cent interest in the nationalised banks, completely waiver loan and interest given for Ashraya Yojana, free title deeds to the people leaving in the city and rural places on government land.
