Indian women track cyclists disappoint


Incheon, Sep 20 (IANS): Indian track cycling side comprising Kezia Vargheese and Deborah failed to qualify for the women's team sprint finals as they finished seventh and last in the heat at the Incheon International Velodrome here Saturday.

The duo timed 27.063 seconds on Lap 1 and 21.845s on Lap 2 to come out with a combined time of 48.908s at the 17th Asian Games.

Chinese Zhong Tianshi and Gong Jinjie took gold, hosts Lee Hyejin and Kim Wongyeong went home with the silver while Hsiao Mei Yu and Huang Ting Ying of Chinese Taipei won bronze.
