Cricketer RP Singh denies association with Rhiti Sports

NEW DELHI, Jun 3 (PTI) : Pacer Rudra Pratap Singh on Monday denied being managed by Rhiti Sports, the firm in which Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni reportedly has a 15 per cent stake, raising questions of a possible conflict of interest.

A newspaper reported that Dhoni has a 15 per cent stake in the company, which, the report claimed, manages RP Singh, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja and Pragyan Ojha.

Interestingly, Raina and Jadeja are part of the same IPL franchise, the Chennai Super Kings, which is also captained by Dhoni.

"Don't know what exactly is running in the news but just to clarify I am not with Rhiti Sports," tweeted RP Singh after the report came out.

RP Singh has played 14 Tests and 58 ODIs for India. He has taken 40 wickets in the longer format and has 69 scalps in the one-dayers.

He has been out of favour for some time and has not played a Test or ODI since 2011.

Rhiti Sports is owned by Arun Pandey, a close friend of Dhoni. In 2010, Dhoni signed up with Rhiti reportedly for Rs 210 crore, an average of Rs 70 crore a year, the costliest deal in Indian cricket.

The IPL match between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers held at Bangalore was doubtful of match fixing mainly due to the no ball of Mr.R.P.Singh in the last over.Mr.R.P.Singh's reaction after throwing the no ball was also suspicious.Mostly that match was fixed and Mr.R.P.Singh may refuse now but it may not be the reality.Truth will really exposed once the police investigate him properly.Thanq.

Tweeting/touting/Face Booking about accusations and denial of spot fixing and match fixings are coming like missiles!Nobody asked RP to tweet such things KUMBLAKAI KALLANIGE......More big big shots are conveniently involved in the IPL fixing.Keeping under moratorium for 2-3 years , under the circumstances best option.
