While many aspirants take years to crack the UPSC Civil Services Examination, Hunar has created history by clearing the prestigious exam twice consecutively.

The UPSC examination is widely regarded as one of the toughest in the country, often demanding years of dedication from candidates. However, Hunar Kular, a resident of Gurugram in Haryana, has set a new benchmark by not just clearing the exam once, but achieving success in back-to-back attempts, drawing widespread attention.

Hunar Kular hails from Gurugram, Haryana, where she also completed her early education. She was a bright student from a young age, with a keen interest in social subjects. This inclination eventually inspired her to dream of a career in the civil services.

In 2023, Hunar appeared for the UPSC examination for the first time and secured an All India Rank of 358. With this rank, she was selected for the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) in the Income Tax Department. However, she chose not to stop there. While undergoing training, she continued preparing for the UPSC 2024 examination.

Her hard work paid off when she secured an impressive All India Rank of 72 in her second attempt. This achievement elevated her from an IRS officer to an IAS officer, marking a significant milestone in her journey.

In 2023, Hunar appeared for the UPSC examination for the first time and secured an All India Rank of 358, earning a position in the Income Tax department under the IRS. Determined to aim higher, she continued her preparation during her training period and reappeared for the UPSC 2024 examination. Her perseverance bore fruit as she secured an All India Rank of 72, ultimately achieving her goal of becoming an IAS officer.
