Honnavar, Feb 7: There comes a time when medicine can no longer cure — but care, comfort, and dignity can still heal hearts. At that moment, your donation can become someone’s final relief from pain, fear, and loneliness.
Along the Konkan coast, in the Konkani-speaking village of Manki, Honnavar (200KM from Mangaluru), many terminally ill patients are spending their last days in silence — without continuous medical care, without comfort, and often without relief from pain. Illness demands round-the-clock attention, love alone is not enough. Franciscan Missionaries of Christ the King (FMCK) at Francis Nilaya Convent, Manki, have served this region through education, pastoral work, and healthcare. During countless visits to homes across the Konkan belt, one reality became painfully clear: many patients need round-the-clock palliative care - care that cannot be given through occasional visits.

To complete the construction and make the center fully functional, FMCK sisters urgently need financial assistance from compassionate individuals and organizations who believe that every life deserves care until the very end.
Sponsor a Medical Room – A Lasting Act of Compassion
Each medical room requires an investment of Rs 3.25 lac. Beyond basic construction, every room must be equipped with essential facilities like furniture and patient-friendly fixtures, air-conditioning (coastal heat makes this a necessity, not a luxury), solar power, and essential medical equipment for palliative nursing care.
Donors may choose to sponsor a full room or specific medical items. As a mark of gratitude and remembrance, the donor’s name will be respectfully displayed on the sponsored room or facility.
