Media Release

Mangaluru, Jan 16: St Aloysius Higher Primary School Alumni Association, part of the St Aloysius College Alumni Association (SACAA), is proud to present ‘Aloy Quiz-Whiz 2026’, an innovative quizzing event for students that will take place on Sunday, January 18 from 9 am to 1 pm at St Aloysius Higher Primary School, Kodialbail.

What sets this quiz apart is its inclusive approach, bringing together specially-abled children and other children in a unique way. Every team consists of one visually impaired participant, one with speech and hearing impairment, one student from a government school, and two students from a private school. While all quizzes emphasize knowledge in general, this one emphasizes inclusivity and teamwork, encouraging children to overcome natural barriers and work cohesively to win the competition.

The chief guest of the event will be U T Khader, speaker, Karnataka Legislative Assembly.

Two main objectives of the quiz

• Educate the public on the capabilities of specially-abled children, showing that they are on par with others in an inclusive environment.
• Sensitize young children to natural barriers, helping them become more comfortable interacting with specially-abled children and removing any hesitation in dealing with differently abled people in the future.

Quiz format

• Total 10 teams
• Semi-final A: 5 teams
• Semi-final B: 5 teams
• Final: 6 teams (3 selected from each semi-final)
• 5 Rounds in each quiz
