Mangaluru, July 2: Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds lashed parts of Mangaluru on Saturday evening, leading to the uprooting of a massive tree near Navabharat Circle in the city.

The tree came crashing down onto a parked car on the roadside, causing considerable damage. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

Fire and emergency services personnel, along with Mangaluru City Corporation officials, rushed to the spot and swiftly began clearance operations to remove the tree and restore normalcy in the area.

The sudden downpour and gusty winds caused traffic disruptions and minor waterlogging in several parts of the city.
