Mangaluru, June 30: A kindergarten student sustained injuries after the roof of a classroom at Shree Mukya Prana Pre-Primary School in Kenjar collapsed all of a sudden during class hours on Monday.

The injured student, identified as Shoonith, suffered injuries to his nose and head and was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment. The incident occurred amid heavy rain and strong winds, which are believed to have weakened the structure of the building.

At the time of the incident, there were 21 students present in the classroom. Fortunately, apart from Shoonith, all other students escaped unhurt, averting what could have been a major tragedy.
