Mangaluru: Home minister reviews construction of new district prison

Mangaluru, Jun 13: Home minister Dr G Parameshwara visited the site of the new district prison under construction near Kudripadavu in Mudipu, to review the progress of the work.

Inspecting the under-construction facility, the minister gathered updates from officials and instructed that the work must be carried out swiftly and with high-quality standards to ensure early completion.

He stressed that the prison complex should include top-tier security features, including a fortified perimeter wall and modern surveillance systems. DIG of the prisons department Divyashree briefed the minister on the project.

MLAs Ashok Kumar Rai, Manjunath Bhandary, Ivan D’Souza, DGP M A Saleem, western range IGP Amith Singh, and other officials were present on the occasion.
