Mangaluru, Dec 8: Panambur beach stands out as one of the renowned beaches and tourist attractions in Mangaluru, drawing visitors from across the country who seek leisure time with their families. Panambur is also known for its beach festivals, kite festivals, and other events, making it a magnet for a diverse range of tourists. Over the next two years, significant development is planned for Panambur beach as part of the Kadali Beach Tourism initiative led by Lakshmish Bhandary and Dr Rajesh Hukkeri.

Kadali Beach Tourism has assumed responsibility for the development of Panambur beach, presenting a well-crafted plan poised to transform the entire appearance of the beach within the next two years. The introduction of various water sports is a key component of the initiative, enhancing the overall appeal for tourists. Panambur beach now offers a diverse range of water activities, including parasailing, desert bike rides, bumper rides, banana boat rides, speed boating, regular boating, dolphin safaris, and jet skiing. Furthermore, in the coming weeks, Panambur beach will pioneer scuba diving, marking a historic first for Mangaluru.

Lakshmish Bhandary stated, "We have identified a location for scuba diving, situated 2.5 km away, where a barge sank. This spot is exceptionally scenic and deemed ideal for scuba diving. Prior to pinpointing this location, we conducted a thorough four-month research, ensuring that it meets all the criteria for a safe and enjoyable scuba diving experience."

Lakshmish Bhandary and Dr Rajesh Hukkeri, through the Kadali Beach Tourism initiative, have pledged a comprehensive development plan for Panambur beach. The project, valued at Rs 8-10 crores, is anticipated to be completed within the next two years, promising a significant transformation for the beach.

Lakshmish further stated, "We have actively addressed concerns about unhygienic food since assuming responsibility for beach development. In addition to water sports, Panambur Beach will soon feature a restaurant, food court, and resort. We are also extending the operating hours; previously closing at 6 pm, it now remains open until 9 pm, with plans to extend it further to 11 pm in the coming days. Our commitment is to ensure complete control over all aspects of Panambur Beach, including cleanliness, hygiene in food services, and overall development, aiming to elevate it to international standards in Mangaluru."

Kadali Beach Tourism boasts a highly experienced team for water sports, with Hemanth leading the way. Having accumulated over 8 years of experience working in Dubai and Goa, Hemanth is now dedicated to overseeing water sports at Panambur beach. His expertise ensures that tourists not only have a wonderful experience but also feel secure during their time at the beach.

A couple from Lucknow, Rohit and his wife, shared their delightful experience after visiting Panambur beach. They expressed that their trip to Mangaluru's beach and water sports was a wonderful and memorable experience. This visit marked their first time at a beach, and they thoroughly enjoyed the overall experience.

So many opportunities for Tourism in our beautiful Kudla. Very good initiative. Hope the Government encourages such activities and we can have a tourism beach City in Karnataka. People now only have Goa and Kerala for water sports, beach holidays. Only loophole is the Fishmeal factories (causing ecological disasters including killing marine life). They should ban these archaic and dirty industries like they have banned in Kerala and Goa.

This is a very encouraging news. Mangaluru has got great tourist potential please develop it to world calss standard. Also provide necessary infrastructure improvements and bus shelters and sign boards drinking water facilities amd toilet facilities. Do build multiple beaches and have adventure sports and water sports. Also build IT sector similar to Bangalore. We need speed and scale to implement so that projects are deployed at a faster rate.
