Mangaluru: Assembly polls - DC banishes 11 with criminal background from DK

Mangaluru, Mar 11: With the view of maintaining law and order in Dakshina Kannada (DK) district in the wake of forthcoming assembly elections, the deputy commissioner (DC) ordered banishment of 11 people with criminal background from the borders of Dakshina Kannada district.

The superintendent of police informed that the banished criminals include Nazeer Kunigal, a resident of Goltamajalu of Bantwal police station limits, Jayaraj Rai from Badagannur village of Puttur rural police station limits, Ibrahim, a resident of Nehru Nagar of Kabaka, Hakeem Koonadka from Kumki Colony of Kemminje village, and Roshan, a resident of Kudmaru village of Bellare.

Prasad from Idyadi Mane of Savanoor village, Aboobacker Siddique, a resident of Nekkiladi village of Uppinangady, Ubaid B S from Uppinangady village, Tasleem, a resident of Bovu Majalu of Tannerupantha village and Kiran Kumar K from Devasa Kolaku Bailu Mane of Shishila in Dharmasthala are also in the list.
