Bantwal: Assistant at Yakshagana play dies of heart attack

Bantwal, Dec 6: An assistant of the Kateel Yakshagana mela died of heart attack at Pallamajalu, B C Road, the venue of the Yakshagana play.

The deceased is Achyutha Nayak (45).

He was loading the properties of Yakshagana in the lorry at about 1 am on Monday morning after the play when he felt suffocated and sick. He was escorted to B C Road for treatment. He was subsequently shifted to an ambulance to be taken for further treatment to Mangaluru but he died on the way.

He was working as the assistant of Kateel mela for the past several years. He used to run small restaurants at several places including at Sarapady besides going for cooking work.
