Udupi, Sep 25: A youth is reportedly gone missing as his motorbike was found fallen on the bridge at Padukare near Malpe.

Shivappa Naika (25) is the youth who has gone missing. He had married Asha of Utkatti Tanda of Davanagere six months ago after a love affair. The couple was residing in a rented house at Kola near Malpe.

Shivappa was working as a manual labourer carrying fish boxes in Malpe fish port with the AAF Fish Party owned by Sudhir Salian.

Shivappa had some differences with his wife since 15 days. He had worked on the night of September 22. His bike was found fallen on the Padukare bridge on September 23. His elder brother Murthy Naika and Hemanth searched for Shivappa near the bridge but could not locate him.

The two-wheeler had crashed against the retainer wall of the bridge and fallen. The key was in ignition on condition and the chappal of Shivappa Naika's right leg was also found on the spot.

Malpe police have registered a case and are investigating further.
