Coronavirus: Prohibitory orders under Section 144 extended until October 23 in Kasargod - DC

Kasargod, Oct 16: Deputy commissioner Dr D Sajith Babu has extended prevailing prohibitory orders under Section 144 until October 23 in the district.

The orders were enforced from October 2 to October 16 in view of the pandemic spreading in the district. The orders have been extended as the coronavirus cases could not be contained and thereby will be in force until midnight of October 23.

The orders have been imposed in Manjeshwar, Kumble, Badiadka, Kasargod, Vidyanagar, Melparamba, Bekal, Hosadurga, Nileshwar, Chandera police station limits and Parappa, Odayanchal, and Panathadi market limits.

As per the order, the assembly of four or more people in an area is banned. However, up to 50 people are permitted at weddings and 20 people for programmes after funerals.
