Kuwait: Tulu Koota Kuwait conducts blood donation camp

Kuwait, Sep 16: Tulu Koota Kuwait being one of the well-known and prominent associations in the city, organized a blood donation camp on Friday September 11 at Kuwait Central Blood Bank, Jabriya, here.

For the past 20 years, Tulu Koota Kuwait has indulged in various welfare activities that benefitted society in Tulunadu as well as in Kuwait. The blood donation camp is one among them- an attempt to pay back to society under the caption, 'Share a Life, Give Blood'.

During this tough phase of COVID-19, Tulu Koota Kuwait made a courageous choice to serve society by its unique way of charity to the soil of Kuwait by conducting a blood donation drive - 2020. Due to the COVID-19 situation, various Hospitals in Kuwait are in need of blood from donors, so this blood donation drive from the Tulu Koota association made a significant impact which would benefit many patients looking for blood donors.



This noble task, was symbolically inaugurated by Tulu Koota Kuwait, president, Ramesh S Bhandary who donated blood followed, by the management and the executive committee members. People of different ages participated in this noble task and donated their gift of life setting aside all their corona worries. Around 90+ blood donors participated in the programme and 83 people donated blood with dedication.

Tulu Koota Kuwait honoured all the blood donors with a Tulu Koota certificate as a token of appreciation for their contribution. Badr Al Samaa Clinic Kuwait sponsored a gift bag with a free health package coupon, fruit and fruit juice to all the blood donors. The donors appreciated the efforts of Tulu Koota towards this noble cause.

The energetic Welfare officer of the association, Lionel Mascarenhas coordinated the whole event. The committee members were present throughout the camp and contributed in various ways to the success of the event.

President, Ramesh S Bhandary thanked all the medical staff and officials of the Kuwait Central Blood Bank, Jabriya for their kind cooperation to conduct the blood donation camp smoothly and helping to adhere to COVID-19 guidelines.

Al Mulla Exchange Kuwait, Al Ahleia Insurance Co SAKP, KHAIN Properties Udupi and Badr Al Samaa, Clinic, TVS Group were the event sponsors of the blood donation camp.
