Riyadh, May 1: Various nationals who had intended to travel to Saudi Arabia on work visa but couldn't do so due to the suspension of international flights as a result of coronavirus lockdown could relax as Saudi Arabia has initiated refund of work visa fee.

Due to the ongoing pandemic and disruption in the flights, several work visas were cancelled. Therefore, the ministry of human resource and social development along with the ministry of foreign affairs has announced the refund. Saudi Gazette reported that the cancellation and refund of stamped visas would be considered only from the date of issuance of the royal decree on March 18.

The kingdom had suspended all international flights as a precautionary measure towards the fight against the disease.

On Wednesday, April 29, the ministry of health reported new 1,325 cases while 169 had recovered. With the additional cases the tally had surged to 21,402 and a total of 2,953 patients recovered so far.
