Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Apr 6: Former MLA, Mohiuddin Bava, arranged for distribution of food items to 20,000 needy families.

The central government has imposed total lockdown in order to impede the spread of coronavirus infection. This has thrown normal lives of the people out of gear. Families find it hard to put together provision items required to feed the members on a daily basis. Central and state governments, assisted by district administrations and various other organizations have been doing everything under their control to mitigate the hardships of the people.

Former MLA representing Mangalore (north) constituency B A Mohiuddin Bava, has now got involved with the task of distributing provision items to 20,000 families from his home constituency. On Sunday, he provided these items to the people living in Janata Colony near Suratkal. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the world as a whole and our country in particular, have been facing coronavirus problem, and the people are facing hardships. "I have come forward to extend help that is within my capacity. I might have faced defeat in this constituency but humanity in me is not dead. I always have love and respect for the people of this constituency," he said. He also urged the people to follow the guidelines of the government in tackling coronavirus issue.

Suratkal church priest Fr Paul D'Souza, as well as Chokkabettu mosque priest Abdul Aziz Darimi, appreciated Bava for his goodwill gesture.

Along with bags of rice, a poster which advices people to stay inside their homes, be safe, and follow the instructions of the government, were distributed.

No one has so far provided food to 20,000 families on individual basis, it is learnt.

It is incorrect to say ಕೊರೊನ ವೈರಸ್ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಭಯ ಬೇಡ...
If you have fear about something then only you will follow guidelines..
