Dubai: Emirates Putturians celebrate annual Christmas event

Dubai, Dec 9: Emirates Putturians, in its 19th year, held their annual Christmas event on Friday December 6 at Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel, Karama, Dubai.

The event started around 11.45 am by MC Floyd Kiran. People from Fujairah, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah etc. witnessed the gala event, thereby making a gathering of more than 125.

Prominent Business personalities and Entrepreneurs Michael D’Souza, James Mendonca, Lancy Madtha, Joseph Mathais, Walter Nadalike, Nelson Rodricks and Dayan D’Souza along with their families added zest to the occasion.




















































































The programme was uplifted by the foot-tapping numbers by the local band 'Coastal Party Rockers' comprising Prashant Sequeira, Vincent Rodrigues, Rithesh, Lovelin D’Mello, Melwyn Anthony D’[Souza along with female vocalist Konkani and lead actress of Konkani movie ‘EK Aslyar Ek Na’ Priya Menezes Lobo with her sensational voice, which brought the crowd to the dance floor.

Lancy Madtha and Joesph Mathais added extra flavour to the singing.

Bollywood Dance performances by Putturians Vian, Riona and Elyene mesmerized the gathering. Budding future Rockstar four-year-old Zeke Coelho with his Paul McCartney style singing played some awesome Beatles numbers.

DJ Lancy with his foot tapping music brought the crowd on the dance floor.

Dubai based Charity Group JINGLES, who support treatment of Cancer patients added more value to the occasion with their superb X’mas Carols singing.

President of Puttur Association Ajit Coelho along with Committee Members Anthony, Gilbert, Jeevan, Vinod, Sudhir, Glen felicitated Michael D'Souza, Martin Aranha, Joseph Mathias, James Mendonca, Lancy Madtha, Meera Pais and Victor Fernandes for their generous Contribution and support all these years. Many good Samaritans supported the event without their names being disclosed.

MC Floyd kept the crowd busy with Lot of spot prizes. Putturian Oswald Madtha was the one to grab most of the spot prizes. As usual he was the most sportive among the crowd.

The delicious food at the venue added with traditional Mangalurean 'dhukra maas' cooked by committee member Jeevan and Raina Vas made the tummies of the entire crowd full.

The day concluded at 5 pm with the peppy baila put forth by the Coastal Party Rockers band. It was truly a day to cherish for every Putturian who attended the event.

Emirates Putturians Organizers are planning their 20th year celebrations in more grand manner and request all Putturians to join and support the event. Meanwhile they thanked all the well wishers and supporters for making this year’s event a memorable one.
