Puttur: Prostitution racket at Ballikana - Police arrest three

Puttur, Sep 12: It is said that personnel of Sampya station here raided a brothel at Ballikana in Ariyadka village near here and succeeded in taking three persons into possession. 

The arrested persons were Charan (25) from Sullia, Arun (38) from Puttur, and owner of the house, Narayan Naik. 

After gathering information that a house in Ballikana in Ariyadka village was being used for running prostitution racket, the police personnel of Sampya station led by sub-inspector, Shaktivelu, conducted the operation on Wednesday September 11 and arrested the three.

It is said that the above three accused used to bring a lady to this house and were running the racket. The police, who registered a case and took the accused into custody, produced the accused in the court on Wednesday evening.

    Nothing special about Puttur, it's running in all cities and towns.
    Only when someone is caught it becomes a news item.
    It's one of the oldest professions in the world and is universal.
    Better legalise and regularise it since it cannot be eradicated.
    Same like illegal cow slaughter which can never be stopped by any law.

    Prostitution was there from the beginning of this world. Nobody can stop it. Authorities can control it. it reduces the rapes. The bulls can enjoy and spend their extra money. Its like a business. Issue trade Licence to brothels, Impose GST and heavy tax on it. Prepare invoices and keep record too. Meantime provide weekly medical test to these prostitutes with heavy charges.
