Washington: Kevin Misquith to perform live at ‘Monthi Fest Musical Extravaganza’ on Sep 14

Washington, Sep 10: The Mangalorean Catholic Association (MCA) in Washington DC, USA, is all set for the celebration of the Monthi Fest (Feast of Nativity) for the year 2019 with ‘Monthi Fest Musical Extravaganza’ on September 14. One of the most prominent musicians, Kevin Misquith from Mangaluru, will be performing live at the event.

The event will mark happening of several memorable moments. Some of the most well-known Mangalurean musicians are flying down from Mangaluru, Canada and Doha. The musicians are looking forward to mesmerize everyone with their talent.

Along with Misquith's performance, there will be other artistes like Vanessa Saldanha from Canada, and Norbert and Nancy Pereira from Doha.

The programme will commence at 3 pm with flower showers and veneration to Mother Mary. From 3:45 pm to 4:45 pm, there would be a special Mass in English with Konkani hymns. The Mass and hymns will be followed by snacks and refreshments at 5 pm.

Around 5:30 pm, musical nite by Kevin Misquith, Vanessa Saldanha, Norbert and Nancy Pereira will commence. The duration of the musical event is around two hours. The evening will conclude with dinner commencing at 8:30 pm where people will get to savour some of the home-made traditional Mangalurean dishes among other delicacies.

    Please support and spread the word to encourage all Mangalorean's in the area to attend the program. It takes lots of effort to organize and conduct such events, let us join our hands and be part of the successful team.

    It is indeed good to see and observe that our traditional Monthi Fest is celebrated with such devotion in Washington. I would indeed have liked to attend this event and wish fellow mangaloreans A VERY HAPPY FEAST.
