Mangaluru: Women protest against drug mafia and obscenity menace

Mangaluru, Jul 17: A protest, demanding action against drug mafia and uncontrolled obscenity, was held in front of Deputy Commissioner's office on Tuesday, July 16 by the Dakshina Kannada Committee of Women India Movement (WIM). 

Addressing the protesters, Nasriya Bellare, president of WIM said, "The number of drug addicts is increasing in the district. Due to this, crimes like murder, harassment and rapes are increasing, which is a dangerous trend. There is danger for the lives of girls and women due to this,” 

"The sale and consumption of drugs is going on unabated in the campuses of prestigious colleges of the district. As a result of this, the students are getting involved in cases of obscenity on social media and rapes. District administration and the police department have to take strict against this." she added. 

Farzana, member of national committee of WIM, Misriya, member of national committee of CFI, Rubiya, district secretary of WMI and others were present.

    A muslim women in gujarat come forward and informed in police station that hee husband doing local bombs at home. We glad to see womens from muslim community come forward to protest as there people much in trade and haraam. They ignore even to take that money for daily use. Let them also protest against cattle traffickers..and stop preparing gosh by keeping handi empty.

    Just check out the national ratio and find out which religion men mostly abandon their wife and keep on marrying multiple times .... Hindu women are in a much secure place except some exceptional cases .....
    The case you intend to dig out where the wife is very proud to have such a husband whom the whole world is hailing and few pessimists mourning ....

    Drug selling/consuming, bomb-making/planting, gold-smuggling - all is universal only upto they get caught and their identity revealed. You got the message right - only women from a particular community are protesting. Its time you guys find out how much money your children are carrying, what they are doing with it, whose daughters they are enticing, where they are spending their late evening hours and son on.

    Do your homework and then question. Well, this suggestion is for all parents - control the money you give to your children. Else, days are not far away that you will be called by one of the officers investigating narcotics cases.

    Better these womens protest in front embassy or consulate of afghanistan. Main source of poppy plants cultivated in this region only...and there economy depend upon it. Latter on thru indian border reach to triangle laos..thailand..vietnam reached to colombia..and supplied to america and european countries. One route supplied even to middle east countries where consumption is high.
