Mangaluru: Most anticipated Tulu movie ‘Umil’ hits screens

Mangaluru, Dec 7: The much awaited Tulu movie 'Umil’ released here at PVR cinemas at Forum Fiza Mall on Friday December 7.

Nithyananda Shetty from Amogh shipping, Actor Arjun Kapikad, producer and director Prakash Pandeshwar, actor Saurabh Bhandary, director Ismail Moodushedde were among the guests during the release.

Speaking on the occasion producer and director Prakash Pandeshwar said, "There is lot of expectation from the movie ‘Umil’. Director Ranjith Suvarna has taken 2 years to complete this movie and has put up lot of effort. I wish him success for this movie.”

  



Actor Arjun Kapikad said, "We have worked together in earlier movies and he had a concept and ideas which he has shown through this movie. I hope this movie will create a milestone in coastalwood.”

Meanwhile, Umil producer Karunakar Shetty unveiled the poster of ‘Umil’ potraying actor Aravind Bolar.

'Umil’ is directed by Ranjith Suvarna and produced by Karunakar Shetty and Prajnesh. The dubbing process of the film took place at the very well-known Daijiworld Audio Visual Pvt Ltd in the city. The VFX work of the film was completed in Canada.

The movie has ‘Bale Telipale’ fame Umesh Mijar in lead role. Pooja Shetty is the female lead in the film. Naveen D Padil, Aravind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Chethan Rai Mani, Sathish Bandale and Deepak Rai are seen in prominent roles.

For the first time, power star Puneeth Rajkumar has rendered his voice for a Tulu song. 'Ravond bathnd umil', the title song is sung by none other than Kannada actor
Puneeth Rajkumar. The lyrics of the song are written by Keerthan Bhandary and the background score is provided by Ravi Basrur.

The music for the same is composed by Ravi Basrur. Actors Aravind Bolar and Arjun Kapikad have sung two songs written by Keerthan Bhandary. Umesh Mijar too has sung a song written by Prashanth C K.
