NDA leaders predict another victory in Uttar Pradesh

New Delhi, Jun 3: Leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) have expressed strong confidence about retaining power in Uttar Pradesh in the 2027 Assembly elections, following a prediction by spiritual leader Jagadguru Rambhadracharya that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led alliance would once again secure a convincing mandate in the state.

Speaking to reporters, Rambhadracharya stated that the BJP would continue its dominance in Uttar Pradesh, asserting that the party's electoral symbol would "bloom again" in the state. His remarks drew support from several NDA leaders, who cited recent electoral performances and development-driven governance as reasons for their optimism.

Uttar Pradesh minister O.P. Rajbhar said the NDA's victories in various elections demonstrate growing public trust in the alliance. Referring to the coalition's recent success in Bihar and its performance in other regions, he argued that voters continue to back the NDA's agenda and governance model.

Rajbhar also criticised the opposition, claiming that the Congress lacks an independent support base in Uttar Pradesh and remains dependent on its alliance with the Samajwadi Party (SP). According to him, the opposition has failed to present a compelling alternative, while the NDA is poised to exceed expectations through its performance and public outreach.

Bihar Minister Dilip Kumar Jaiswal also endorsed Rambhadracharya's assessment, describing him as a highly respected spiritual figure known for his wisdom and insight. Jaiswal said concerns arise when political strategies centered on appeasement and vote-bank considerations undermine cultural and religious traditions.

He further emphasised that social harmony should be maintained without discrimination based on caste, while cautioning against political approaches that, in his view, compromise traditional values for electoral gains.

Janata Dal (United) Chief Spokesperson Neeraj Kumar echoed confidence in the NDA's prospects but stressed that electoral outcomes are ultimately determined by voters in a democratic system. He said all political parties would present their achievements and promises before the public and seek support accordingly.

Drawing a comparison with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's governance approach, Kumar argued that development combined with social justice remains the most effective political model. He also remarked that while some parties continue to focus heavily on caste-based politics, the electorate increasingly prioritises governance and development issues.

NDA leaders maintained that the alliance's governance record and development initiatives would play a decisive role in shaping the outcome of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
