Mangaluru, Oct 1: St Theresa’s School, Bendur, celebrated its Patron’s Day with great joy, faith and enthusiasm on September 30 honouring its beloved patron, St Therese of Lisieux. The celebration was held on the theme ‘The little way – A great journey,’ inspired by St Therese’s simple yet profound spirituality of doing little things with great love.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the chief guest, Sr Shubha, superior of Bethany Mother House, Bendur, along with the principal, Sr Lourdes and vice principal Sr Vidya. The lighting of the lamp symbolised the beginning of a journey guided by faith, love and service.
The gathering was then led into prayer, seeking God’s blessings and remembering the inspiring life of St Therese. A warm welcome was extended to all present for the occasion.















































The highlight of the celebration was a captivating dance drama, ‘Miracles of St Therese of Lisieux,’ presented by the students. Through graceful movements, music and expressive performances, the students portrayed significant aspects of St Therese’s life and her enduring message of faith, humility and love.
Addressing the gathering, Sr Shubha, chief guest, spoke about the relevance of St Therese’s Little Way in the lives of young people. She encouraged the students to practise love, kindness and service through the simple things they do every day.
The principal, Sr Lourdes, in her greetings, appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers and encouraged the school community to carry forward the values exemplified by St Therese.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the chief guest, school management, teachers, students and everyone who contributed to making the celebration memorable.
The Patron’s Day celebration served as a beautiful reminder that great journeys can indeed begin with little steps, and that simple acts performed with love can make a lasting difference.
