Bantwal: Modankap school headmistress Theresa D'Mello retires after 42 years of service

Bantwal, Oct 1: A heartwarming farewell and felicitation ceremony was organized for Theresa Louvanthi D'Mello, who retired as the headmistress of Modankap Educational Institution near B C Road here, after a dedicated service of 42 years. She served as the headmistress of the institution for the last four years.

Presiding over the programme, school joint secretary Fr Victor D'Souza lauded her contributions. "Her 42 years of selfless service has strengthened the school's growth. Her discipline and dedication to duty are a model for everyone," he said.

Designated headmaster Sunil Francis Lewis spoke on behalf of the teaching staff, recalling his association and shared memories with the retiring headmistress. Student leader Fathima Afa shared her thoughts on behalf of the students, while Mallika conveyed best wishes on behalf of the parents.

Theresa Louvanthi D'Mello was formally felicitated and given a respectful farewell on the occasion. The school students presented her with mementos.

Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) president, advocate Arun Roshan D'Souza, and secretary Ramitha were present.

Teacher Leena D'Mello welcomed the gathering. Teacher Geetha compered the programme, and teacher Laveena D'Souza proposed the vote of thanks.
