Mangaluru, Sep 15: Carmel Central School, Kotekar celebrated the Season of Creation on September 15 at 10:30 am in the school auditorium with great enthusiasm and a strong message of environmental responsibility. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of protecting nature, conserving water and caring for God's creation.

The programme commenced with an introduction and prayer, followed by the inauguration of the Season of Creation with the theme for the year : 'Immersion in Living Water'. A graceful welcome dance set a vibrant tone for the celebration, followed by the welcome speech. The students then presented a thought-provoking CID skit, “Who is the Real Culprit?”, which conveyed an important message to save water in our daily life.

A meaningful mime act on “Save Water” highlighted the importance of conserving this precious natural resource. This was followed by a captivating dance drama depicting the life of Saint Francis of Assisi, who is remembered for his deep love and respect for nature and all living beings. An energetic entertainment dance added joy and enthusiasm to the programme.

The chief guest, Kishor S, lecturer in Commerce Dept.at Shri Narayanaguru First Grade College, Kudroli addressed the gathering and shared an inspiring message on environmental conservation. He encouraged the students to become responsible stewards of nature, heroes of water and led them in taking an oath to save and conserve water. The programme continued with the prize distribution, honouring the achievements and participation of the students in various competitions.

The vote of thanks expressed gratitude to the chief guest, school management, teachers, students and everyone who contributed to the successful conduct of the celebration.

The programme concluded with a renewed commitment among the students to protect nature, conserve water and contribute towards a sustainable and harmonious world.
