Mangaluru, Jun 25: Mangaluru North police have traced and arrested an accused who had been absconding for nearly 10 years in connection with a theft case and failing to appear before the court.

The accused has been identified as Prasad (33), son of Uday Poojary, a resident of Kuntalpady, Erlampady, Karkala taluk in Udupi district.

According to police, a case had been registered against Prasad at Mangaluru North police station under Crime No. 289/2016 under Section 379 of the IPC.
