Mangaluru: Bandhutva Trust lights path of education with free book distribution

Mangaluru, May 31: Demonstrating its continued commitment to education and social welfare, Bandhutva Charitable Trust, under the leadership of honorary doctorate recipient and District Rajyotsava Award winner Ismail Shafi Babbukatte, organised a free book distribution programme for school students at the Trust’s office located in Green City Building, Thokottu.

On the occasion, the women's wing of Bandhutva Charitable Trust felicitated founder Ismail Shafi Babbukatte in recognition of his remarkable contributions to society and his dedicated service towards the upliftment of underprivileged communities.

As part of the programme, guests symbolically distributed books to ten students, highlighting the Trust’s mission to support education and encourage academic excellence among young learners. The initiative received appreciation from parents, students, and community members for its efforts in promoting education and empowering the younger generation.

The event was attended by Posakural Channel founder Vidhyadhar Shetty, Mookambika Charitable Trust founder Sundar Malar, All India Christian Union representative Alvin D’Souza, MESCOM assistant engineer Nithesh Hosagadde, Someshwara Panchayat Opposition Leader Purushothama, Accountant Prasad, Bandhutva Charitable Trust trustee Ashif Babbukatte, Women’s District president Rabia, vice-president Siyana Banu, secretary Tasmia, organising secretary Zubaida, and several other dignitaries and well-wishers.
