Mangaluru, Apr 12: A 22-year-old youth reportedly ended his life at Moodushedde after being estranged from a young woman he was in a relationship with.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Ashiq, a resident of Edurupadavu in Moodushedde.

According to sources, Ashiq had fallen in love with a classmate from Ullal during their college days. After completing his graduation, Ashiq was working as an accountant. The family alleges that the chats reveal the woman used derogatory language and incited him to commit suicide. Distraught by the interaction, Ashiq reportedly ended his life.
A case has been registered at the Kavoor police station. The police have seized the mobile phone for forensic examination and are currently investigating the matter.
