• Top trading partners: UAE, China, Netherlands, and the UK remained in the top five; Hong Kong entered the top ten, replacing Australia.

Imports and Supply Chain Trends

• China continues as India’s top source country, with its share rising to 17% from 16%.
• Top ten source countries largely unchanged, except Hong Kong and Japan replacing Indonesia and Korea.

Policy Support and Export Facilitation

Assocham highlighted government reforms and schemes supporting export resilience:

• RoDTEP Scheme: Extended until September 30, 2026
• BHAVYA Scheme: Approval for plug-and-play industrial parks
• Export Obligation Extensions: Advance Authorisations and EPCG Authorisations extended until August 31, 2026

Nirmal Kumar Minda, President of Assocham, said, “The last financial year, 2025 26, was an extremely challenging year for India’s trade trajectory, and we have demonstrated our resilience in a significant way.”

The report underscores India’s ability to sustain trade growth despite geopolitical tensions, tariff challenges, and supply chain disruptions, while policy interventions aim to further strengthen export momentum.
