Davanagere, Sep 4: Sixth day's novena at Our Lady of Health, Minor Basilica, Harihara, Davanagere district, Diocese of Shimoga, began at 6 pm with rosary, procession, and floral homages to Harihara Matha. Basilica rector and parish priest Fr George K A led the novena.

At 6:30 pm, Fr Victor Pais, mission director of St Anthony's Church, Hosadurga, celebrated Holy Eucharist and Fr Ronald Veigas, mission director of Infant Jesus Church, Challakere, preached the homily on "Mother of Health—the Mother of children and the destitute who have been pushed to the margins of society" and he based his preaching on Deutronomy 10:12-13,16-21 and Mark 10:13-16.

After the Mass, Fr Ronald D'Cunha, parish priest of Our Lady of Assumption Church, Hiriyur, led the benediction, and priests prayed over the pilgrims.

Rector of the Minor Basilica Fr George K A felicitated silver jubilarians Fr Ronald D'Cunha, Fr Victor Pais and Fr Ronald D'Cunha and thanked them. Food was served to all the pilgrims.
