SIT Mangaluru unveils 125 Innovations at Student Project Exhibition 2025

Mangaluru, Dec 5: Inauguration of Student Project Exhibition – 2025 of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru, was held on December 5th in the college seminar hall. Jinto Thomas, Software Developer, Riskonnect Services Pvt Ltd, was the chief guest. Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, principal, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru, presided over the inaugural function. The dais was shared by professor Jayaram Thumbe, Convener of the project exhibition.

The chief guest, Jinto Thomas, addressed the students with his motivational talk, stating that the final project reflects students’ learning, teamwork, and overall growth. He urged them to stay updated with new technologies and keep moving forward with innovative ideas. He also stated that AI will not take away jobs, but success depends on how well we adapt and use it effectively.

Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, in his address, congratulated the students, calling their project a key milestone in their academic journey. He noted that projects build both technical skills and teamwork and stressed the importance of active student involvement. He further encouraged students to pursue patents and research papers, adding that in today’s AI era, success comes from working with machines, not competing against them.

Professor Jayaram Thumbe, the convener of the project exhibition, briefed about the project exhibition 2025–26. A total of 125 projects from all departments will be on display. All the projects will be judged by internal and external experts, and the best projects will be awarded cash prizes.

The inaugural function started with a prayer by Nikhitha and Nidhisha from the Aeronautical Department. Professor Jayaram Thumbe, the convener of the project exhibition, welcomed the gathering. The chief guest was introduced by professor Harshith from the Electrical and Electronics Department. Dr Lokesh K S from the Computer Science and Business Systems Department delivered the vote of thanks. Professor Vivek Vijay Kumar from the Department of Marine Engineering was the master of ceremonies.
