Mangaluru, Oct 12: At Lourdes Central School, education has always been envisioned as a shared journey — one that unites the efforts of teachers, parents, and students in the pursuit of excellence. The open house for term I, held on October 11, was a reaffirmation of this partnership, providing a meaningful platform for dialogue and reflection.
The session commenced with a solemn prayer led by the principal, Fr Johnson L Sequeira, whose words set a tone of warmth and purpose. He emphasized the profound impact of positive engagement between parents and teachers, reminding all that constructive communication is the cornerstone of a child’s growth. In his address, he urged the staff to nurture a ‘circle of optimism,’ stating that positive vibes create a positive atmosphere a thought that resonated deeply with all present.

Throughout the morning, parents interacted with class and subject teachers to review their wards’ academic performance in the first term. Teachers provided thoughtful insights into each student’s progress, highlighting both accomplishments and areas requiring focused attention. The interactions reflected the school’s commitment to holistic development, where encouragement and accountability go hand in hand.
The vice principal, Anita Thomas, held special discussions with parents who required additional guidance regarding their wards’ academic and co-curricular needs. Parents also had the opportunity to meet the principal personally to share their observations and express concerns regarding their ward’s progress.
The session concluded marking a meaningful collaboration between home and school a partnership rooted in trust, understanding, and a shared commitment to nurturing every child’s potential. This Open House stood as a testimony to the belief that together, we work for every child’s success.
