Mumbai, May 5: Deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar on Monday warned government officers and employees in Maharashtra to adapt to the changing times, emphasizing that Artificial Intelligence (AI) could soon replace those unwilling to evolve. Speaking at the inauguration of the four-day ‘Tech Wari: Maharashtra tech learning Week’ at Mantralaya, Pawar highlighted how embracing technological advancements could enhance the efficiency, transparency, and dynamism of the administration.

The event, organized by the state general administration department from May 5 to 9, aims to bring modern technology to all corners of Maharashtra and create a tech-savvy environment in government services. Pawar emphasized that ‘Tech Wari’ will guide officers and employees to expand their capabilities and lead the change, not just accept it.

With guidance from renowned speakers on topics like Blockchain, Cyber Security, and AI, Pawar urged the government workforce to adopt new approaches and make administration more effective. He also mentioned that sessions on stress management and work-life balance would contribute to the well-being of the workforce.

Information Technology minister Ashish Shelar praised Maharashtra's progress under the Maharashtra Public Service Right Act, noting the state’s top rankings in completing training on the 'I Got' system. He expressed confidence that the workforce would embrace the changes, delivering dynamic services. Chief secretary Rajesh Kumar added that the state is working towards becoming a leader in providing seamless services to citizens.

Maharashtra Sadan commissioner R Vimala lauded the efforts of the general administration department and expressed optimism that the ‘Tech Wari’ initiative would benefit all officers involved.
