Mangaluru, Apr 29: A tragic incident unfolded in Kumpala Hanuman Nagar near Ullal as a man, a father of two children, took his own life. Locals intervened to save his wife, who also attempted suicide following her husband's actions. Financial constraints are believed to be the reason behind this extreme act.

The deceased, identified as Yogish (44), was a resident of Kumpala Hanuman Nagar and worked in centering. He hanged himself from a wooden log on the roof of the washroom adjacent to his house.

Yogish was a member of a self-help group and reportedly spent Rs 40,000 from the group without depositing it in the bank. On Sunday morning, other members of the group visited Yogish's residence and urged him to deposit the Rs 40,000 in the bank. It is believed that Yogish ended his life out of shame.

Ullal police shifted Yogish's body for post-mortem and registered a case. Meanwhile, Yogish's wife also attempted suicide. However, locals present at the scene prevented her from harming herself and provided comfort. Yogish is survived by his wife, two young sons, and his mother.

How sad ,just for 40,ooo Rupees he suicided.Well his own fault of not depositing in bank used for self. Why he could confess it and ask for to give him short period to clear it.By suicide nothing is cleared. Now his family should pay for it.One should be ready to accept ones failure and could get out of it with his holding head high.Sad for the family.Hope they can arrange it .or someone could help.Heartfelt sympathy to family.May his soul rest in peace.

Today’s India more unequal than under British rule. India’s top 1 percent holds more income today than it did under the British, new research shows. The middle class is the worst affected.

Committing suicide for mere Rs,40,000 , so sad, RIP, pray that his wife will recover soon. When we were children, I never heard anyone committing suicide like this, Neighbors would help them at some stage & friends are always ready to give moral support, now you guys divided the society based on casts & only you guys are trapped & no one else. When your help is needed for the organization, a tall leader will give you a call & you guys get carried away by his talks & his links with political leaders but when you require help all concerned phone numbers are switched off for you.
