Mangaluru, Oct 6: The postgraduate departments of MBA and MCA, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, organised the inaugural programme for the MBA and MCA batch 2026–2028 on Tuesday, October 6 at the seminar hall, Mother Mary Aloysia Centenary Block. The programme marked the beginning of the students’ postgraduate academic journey and provided an opportunity for parents to connect with the faculty and institution.
The programme was graced by Praveen Udupa, founder and technical director, A1 Logics, Mangaluru, as the chief guest. Dr Mallika Shetty, assistant professor, department of MBA, served as the master of ceremonies, and Akshatha Shetty, HOD, department of MCA, introduced the chief guest.





Addressing the students, Praveen Udupa highlighted the importance of using technology effectively while developing strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and individual skills. He emphasised that technology should serve as a tool to enhance one’s capabilities rather than replace them. He also encouraged parents to guide their children while allowing them to face challenges independently and develop resilience.
Sr Dr M Venissa A C, principal, St Agnes College (Autonomous), welcomed the students and spoke about the attributes expected of a graduate. She encouraged them to make the most of their two years at the institution by nurturing themselves academically, professionally, and personally, while meeting the expectations of their parents, society, and the institution.
The programme was graced by Sr Dr M Vinora A C, PG coordinator; Chaco P J, dean of MBA and MCA departments; Sheryl Preethika, HOD, department of MBA; Akshatha Shetty, HOD, department of MCA; assistant professors Dr Mallika Shetty and Joylene Lobo from the MBA department; and Panchajanyeswari M Achar, Vaishnavi Shenoy, and Sweedle D’Souza from the MCA department.
The inaugural programme also facilitated interaction between parents, faculty, and the institution, helping set the foundation for a supportive and purposeful academic journey for the new batch. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Sheryl Preethika, HOD, department of MBA.
