Sullia: Kerala excise police arrest two for attempted MDMA smuggling

Sullia, Apr 25: Kerala excise police arrested two individuals, natives of the taluk, on charges of attempting to smuggle MDMA narcotic drugs.

The accused, Ummer Farukh and A H Siddique, residents of Aletty village in Sullia, were apprehended by the police.

They were caught transporting MDMA worth Rs 1.5 lac from Bengaluru to Malappuram. The arrest took place at the Manandawadi check post by an excise team led by A Prajit, Excise CI of Manandawadi.

The MDMA was purchased at a cost of Rs 4000 per gram. The excise authorities seized both the drugs and the car used for transportation.
